Cesi door of Umbria door of wonders

The objectives that the project proposes are to render Cesi and its territory attractive again, equip the village with new functions and implement a series of coordinated interventions. All with a strong collaboration between public and private sectors and with a management model relating to the proposing body for the redevelopment, restoration, reuse and management of buildings already partly owned by the Terni Municipality. And for the creation of new infrastructures, the use of current technologies in the sustainable mobility sectors, energy efficiency and digital connections thus creating new jobs and residency, new social and community relationships between the residents and between them and their guests.

The interventions that will be carried out are 45, of which 20 will exclusively concern the Municipality and will be implemented on buildings, structures and infrastructures owned by the Municipality. The other 25 will be implemented in partnership.

Therefore the interventions can be divided between those of infrastructure, services and supplies, contributions to privates and collaboration agreements with the associations

The infrastructural interventions will concern:

  • Trail network - mtb routes - climbing – paragliding runway
  • Medieval wall and towers 
  • Museum hall and former parish cinema
  • “P. Bellelli” astronomical observatory
  • Cesi-St.Erasmo road
  • Former theatre St. Andrew’s church
  • Former clay pigeon shooting
  • Stocchi palace
  • Municipal sports field
  • Former St.Onofrio convent
  • Former Mother Francesca Peticca convent

Contributions to privates will be granted for:

  • the repopulation of the village by reduced rents, first home purchases, female and youth entrepreneurship interventions and start-ups
  • the renovation of private buildings to be used as widespread hotels
  • the renovation of premises to be used for commercial activities
  • through collaboration agreements with subjects who responded to the proposal
